Almost at the very center of Paris, if you look at a map.

Very close to Orsay Museum and to the Seine river,
facing the Tuileries Gardens and the Sacré Coeur,
just a few minutes away by foot from Le Louvre,
Carré des Antiquaires, and St Germain des Prés..

Rue de Lille is a chic address, where also the head of office of a powerful bank
(Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations), hotels particuliers and art galleries can be found.

RER C station MUSEE D'ORSAY is just across the street
Otherwise next metro station is SOLFERINO
Several bus lines running along the Seine river or on nearby Boulevard St Germain

THE ROOM

Located in a safe building of rue de Lille, on the 7th floor with a tiny elevator to the 6th floor.
Fabulous view over Paris, facing the Tuileries Gardens and the Sacre Coeur.

This room is most appropriate for ONE person, not for a couple or even more.
SMALL bedroom with a SINGLE bed, a small table,
a chair (Plia model, designed by Giancarlo Piretti ) ( et toc ! ..), a small stool,
a shower and a kitchen corner (refrigerator, electrical burners, sink, cupboards, side table).
Many hooks to hang clothes on or near the door.
Toilet is outside on same floor, with recently renewed seat cover..
Soap, kitchenware/tableware, towels and sheets/duvet/duvet cover are provided.

Renter is required to leave the apartment as clean as he/she found it.

DSL high speed access to Internet (strong signal from own netrwork and modem, Wifi nad/or cable connection) and associated TV and telephone services are optional (see below)

Pictures shown below are not binding, as decoration may change over time (in this case some improvements have already occurred in the course of February and early March 2008, since these pictures were made : a carpet, a new set of sheet+duvet cover, bath towels, kitchen corner items, a wireless telephone, a television set with an integrated DVD reader, etc... and more will come up soon).

AVAILABILITY and RATES

Available for short term stays only
preferably one week or less, exceptionnally up to 2 or 3 weeks.

All-in rates (payable in advance) :
3 nights : 3 x 40 = 120 euros
4 nights : 4 x 39 = 156 euros
5 nights : 5 x 38 = 190 euros
6 nights : 6 x 37 = 222 euros
7 nights : 7 x 36 = 252 euros
8 nights : 8 x 35 = 280 euros
9 nights : 9 x 35 = 315 euros
10 nights 10 x 35 = 350 euros
11 nights : 11 x 35 = 385 euros
12 nights : 12 x 34 = 408 euros
13 nights : 13 x 34 = 442 euros
14 nights : 14 x 34 = 476 euros
15 nights : 15 x 34 = 510 euros

Refundable safety deposit # 1 : 200 euros payable upon arrival, refunable upon departure
(see below possible further deposits related to telecommunication options)

TELECOMMUNICATION OPTIONS

If you take an option, it applies for the whole length of your stay

OPTION 1 : DSL high speed access to internet + associated TV service

Rate : 2 euros per day (covering right to use + all connections during your stay)
Content : DSL high speed access to Internet with both cable connection, and Wifi connection
+ associated TV service (about 60 French and international channels inluding CNN, BBC World, Deutsche Welle, etc...)

OPTION 2 : wireless telephone (using Internet network, therefore Option 1 is a prerequisite)

Rate for right to use : 3 euros per day + additional refundable deposit #2 of 30 euros per day
Content : + unlimited free phone calls to landlines of most European countries + unlimited free phone calls to landlines and cell phones in the USA and Canada

The cost of outgoing calls not included in this perimeter (for example : a call to a French or to a German cell phone, or any call to Japan or Australia) would be payable before departure, deductible from the refundable safety deposit(s) # 2, and # 1 if and as far as necessary

As explained above, taking Option 2 involves to have already taken Option 1, which is a pre-requisite to get Option 2.

OPTION 3 : French cell phone number / SIM card

Rate for right to use : 1 euro per day + refundable safety deposit # 3 of 50 euros
Content : use of a French SIM card (French cell phone number) programmed to work with French prepaid cards to be found/bought at tobacco and phone shops, at the cost of the renter
The SIM card will possibly be supplied with a used cell phone (Nokia 6150) originally bought in France, in case your cell phone wouldn't work in Europe.
If the SIM card and/or the cell phone supplied, are not returned at the end of your stay,
the deposit # 3 of 50 euros would not be refunded, and the SIM card would become idle.

REFUNDABLE SAFETY DEPOSIT(S)

Deposit # 1 of 200 euros
(+ deposit(s) # 2 and/or # 3 related to Options 2 and/or 3 if applicable)
